Richie Mundy-Castle

Project Engineer

Richie’s expertise lies in the parks design space, consulting to Local and Regional Councils and to the Department of Conservation as a Track Design Engineer and Project Manager.

Richie’s focus is the Kauri Dieback Disease Mitigation project currently rolling out across the greater Auckland region. Richie is involved in the design process, project management and construction observation throughout the delivery of this project.

He is solutions-focused and an advocate for environmental ethics. Richie is passionate about engineering a cleaner, greener built environment for our future generations. The lack of environmental ethics in current industry standard practice has largely contributed to our current climate crisis. Engineers need to take more accountability of their design decisions, and the environmental impacts that follow. Richie actively pursues change-making as a vocal activist for the need to deliver better engineering standard practice.
